Color transforms stamped concrete from ordinary to extraordinary. We use two methods to add color. The base color is mixed right into the concrete or applied as a dry shake hardener on the surface. You can choose earth tones like tans, browns, and grays, or go bolder with reds, blues, or greens.

Creating beautiful stamped concrete requires skill, timing, and the right techniques. We start with all the same preparation steps as any quality concrete project: proper excavation, compacted base, reinforcement, and the correct concrete mix. This foundation work ensures your decorative surface will last for decades.
Once we pour the concrete, timing becomes critical. We add the color hardener while the concrete is still workable. Then, as the concrete begins to set, we apply a release agent that prevents the stamps from sticking. Next comes the actual stamping, where we press large mats into the concrete to create the pattern. This step requires experience because the concrete needs to be firm enough to hold the pattern but soft enough to accept the stamp.
After stamping, we let the concrete cure for a day or two, then wash off the release agent and apply antiquing stain to enhance the texture. Finally, we seal the entire surface with a high-quality sealer that protects the color, makes the surface easier to clean, and adds a subtle sheen that makes the pattern pop. The sealer also protects against stains from oil, grease, and other spills.
